Is there anyone out there, who can help me with this. I am trying to install this wireless linksys wusb100 pen drive adapter to a desktop computer running linux ubuntu. Any suggestions or solutions rather?

I want to be able to hibernate Windows, then boot Linux so that I can quickly boot Windows when I need to. Problem is, when Windows is hibernated, the computer boots to Windows automatically without showing an OS selection screen. How do I fix this?
I have Ubuntu. Also, when a computer is hibernated, it is completely powered off. Hibernation just saves memory data to the disk for later reload.

I am going to make a dual boot system and i was wondering what linux distribution would offer new things that windows dosent. It would be nice if the distribution was free. I was also wondering how much i should partition off for linux

I’m a good technician, but I’m pretty average when it comes to my knowledge of hardware. I’m looking to kill two birds with one stone by learning Linux.

The computer has 128 mg of ram, and I believe a 300-400mhz processor. Unfortunately all of the Linux distributions I have tried have resulted in a kernel panic.

I just installed Fedora on a separate partition from my Windows one. How do I boot from the other partition?
